40 years ago and now...Gay Brewer

On July 9, 1972, Gay Brewer won the Canadian Open golf tournament at Fort Erie, Ontario. It was his 10th and last win on the PGA tour. Mr. Brewer died on August 31, 2007 at the age of 75. It occurs to me that if the term "gay brewer" were to be associated with a golf tournament or other event now, it would probably be the identity of a corporate sponsor.
