Universalist drivel from contemporary "Christian" performer Jason Upton

If you want to hear a really stupid message, go here and listen--if you can make it all the way through. I have no idea what Hebrews 8:10-11 has to do with what passes for his message; and I didn't know that not using one's imagination made one a heretic. This is what happens when you take your theology lessons from 3- and 8-year-olds. If you go to Mr. Upton's blog, you'll find that he's promoting the usual suspects such as Henri Nouwen, Thomas Merton, Brad Jersak, etc. I liked City Centre Church better when it was the Paramount Theatre.

    Okay, so, I can't go hook line and sinker with EVERYTHING that Jason was teaching. And he got off track of his sermon. But it really just sounds like you are the one with the problem. Sounds like you've made a profession out of having a critical spirit. His imagination comments had a great deal of validity. I don't totally agree but he has a good point. Sounds like you are just having a hard time seeing what is good and pure and forgiving the exaggeration of the comment. Please be gentle with others. Btw just because he reads non Christian literature it does not mean that his is promoting it. May God convict you. Bless - monsterjazz@gmail.com

    Well actually he could be promoting it. I saw an article posted by Al Sergel ( I think he runs Jason's website) titled "from Thomas Merton". I think it must be a quote from Thomas Merton's book titled "New Seeds of Contemplation" by Thomas Merton. So one could view this a promoting Roman Catholic/Buddist Monk Mystic Thomas Merton. I do not see any objections from Jason on it...so that could mean he is in agreement...It is supposed to be Jason Upton's website. But I also remember being at a conference some years back where Jason spoke in Michigan mentioning Henri Nouwen who also was greatly influenced by Thomas Merton...Jason has read Henri Nouwen's books too...These men all participate in contemplative prayer...As much as I like Jason Upton I have to come to the truth and admit he is following in line with the latest greatest deceptions of the contemplative 'christian' crowd...I cannot agree and support this error...

      Amen to you all. I first off want to thank God for this website and many other's who are coming into the knowledge of the truth. Thank you Jesus, umm, I have been following Jason a while now and something went missing shortly after the "Dying Star" CD and I honestly think God meant what he said to Jason, but Jason didn't grasp it or took him seriously because so far Jason has embraced Catholic and some people are waking up out of the wonder's and starting to see that Jason has turned for the worst also. I am making a video on youtube soon so just encase you all want to see it, it will be on youtube under awomanoftruth and I will be showing how he has also push angel worship, Emma is the name of Todd's Bentley's Angel also him and Jason Upton has shared revelation together and so it's a lot. I have notice things on his CD's backgrounds sayings all types of things but all this will be in the series of Jason Upton EXPOSED. Thanks again guys be bless and stay prayerful and watchful as we go into the most critical hour man's ever been in, in Jesus name, amen.
