On July 1, 1982, 2,000 couples were married in a mass wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York staged by the Unification Church, the cult founded and led by South Korean pseudo-Messiah Rev. Sun Myung Moon. Those who are still together gathered to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the event.
